Our Story

Maison21 is a menswear atelier at 7800 Woodbine Ave, Suite 103 in Markham, Ontario — founded in 2024 on a simple conviction: a man should be able to own tailoring cut to his own body, in cloth worth keeping, without leaving Toronto.

We make made-to-measure suits, jackets, trousers and shirts — a pattern drafted to your measurements, built on a full floating canvas, refined across fittings until the drape is clean. Alongside the commissions hangs a considered ready-to-wear collection, cut in the same canvas construction from the same mills, so the standard never changes with the label.

The cloth

Every garment begins at the mill. We work with Vitale Barberis Canonico, Reda, Ermenegildo Zegna, Loro Piana and Holland & Sherry — houses that have been weaving in and around Biella for generations. Cloth is chosen in person, swatch in hand, for how it will wear years from now, not how it photographs today.

How we work

One client, one maker. A consultation at Maison21 is a conversation — the occasion, the cloth, the silhouette — and the guidance is the same whether the answer is ready-to-wear or a full commission: precise, unhurried, honest about what suits you. Fittings happen in the Markham studio, with the person who will stand behind the garment. Complimentary alterations keep everything we make fitting the way it left us.

Visit us

The studio is open Monday to Thursday, 11am–6pm, and by appointment Friday and Saturday. Book a consultation, or simply come by — the kettle is usually on.
