Custom Tuxedos in Toronto — Made-to-Measure Black Tie
Maison21 makes tuxedos and dinner jackets to measure at its Markham studio, serving Toronto and the GTA. Each is cut from a pattern drafted to your measurements and built on full-canvas construction — peak, shawl, or notch lapels, grosgrain or satin facings, in cloths from Zegna, Loro Piana, Reda, Vitale Barberis Canonico, and Holland & Sherry, including true velvet for dinner jackets. Made-to-measure begins at CAD $1,500 for a two-piece; black-tie cloths and details are priced by range and confirmed at consultation. A finished tuxedo takes approximately six weeks from the final fitting; for weddings and galas, book eight to ten weeks before the date.

Common Questions
How much does a custom tuxedo cost in Toronto?
Made-to-measure at Maison21 begins at CAD $1,500 for a two-piece; tuxedo cloths and black-tie details are priced by the range you select and confirmed at consultation. Across the market, made-to-measure tuxedos typically run CAD $1,200–$2,200, with bespoke well beyond.
Tuxedo or dark suit — how do I choose?
If the invitation says black tie, a tuxedo: grosgrain or satin lapels, dress trousers, evening cloth. For cocktail or unstated dress codes, a midnight or charcoal suit cut to measure serves more occasions after the event.
How long does a tuxedo take?
Approximately six weeks from final measurement. For weddings and galas, book eight to ten weeks before the date — earlier in spring and early autumn.
Do you fit wedding parties in black tie?
Yes — the groom's commission and the party's coordination are handled together, in matched cloth, with fittings scheduled around the date.
What's the difference between made-to-measure and bespoke?
Made-to-measure starts from a pattern block adjusted to your measurements; bespoke starts from a pattern hand-drafted from scratch. Maison21's tuxedos are made-to-measure — hand-cut, built on full canvas, and refined over multiple fittings — the craftsmanship of bespoke at made-to-measure pricing. Maison21 does not offer bespoke.
